Terms of Service
Please review the terms governing access to and use of STAT Healthcare Academy's software, training, and services.
01. STAT Services
STAT provides software and related services designed for home care, home health, hospice, and other healthcare organizations.
Depending on the services purchased, features may include digital onboarding, staff records and forms, orientation and training, compliance management, certificates, reporting, reminders, credential tracking, and other workforce-management functionality.
Features and functionality may change as the STAT platform evolves.
02. Customer Accounts
Customers are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and controlling access to their STAT accounts.
- Maintain the confidentiality of usernames and passwords
- Provide account access only to authorized users
- Manage administrator permissions
- Promptly notify STAT of suspected unauthorized access
- Ensure information submitted through their account is lawful and appropriate
03. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for determining whether STAT's services are appropriate for their organization and regulatory requirements.
- Hiring and employment decisions
- Employee qualifications
- Licensing and credential requirements
- Training assignments
- Regulatory compliance
- Personnel documentation
- Policies and procedures
- Record-retention requirements
- Compliance with federal, state, and local laws
STAT provides software, training, and compliance-support tools. Use of STAT does not transfer an organization's regulatory or operational responsibilities to STAT.
04. Training & Educational Content
STAT provides training and educational content intended to assist organizations with workforce education and compliance.
Requirements may differ based on state, license type, payer, accrediting organization, employee classification, and other factors. Customers remain responsible for determining which requirements apply to their organization and workforce.
05. Customer Data
Customers retain responsibility for information and materials they submit to the STAT platform. By submitting information, customers authorize STAT and its service providers to process that information as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and support the services.
Customers represent that they have the appropriate authority, permissions, and legal basis to submit information to the platform.
06. Acceptable Use
Users may not use STAT services to:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts
- Interfere with platform security or operation
- Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempt to reverse engineer or improperly copy the software
- Share login credentials with unauthorized individuals
- Use the platform for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
- Misappropriate STAT intellectual property or proprietary content
07. Intellectual Property
STAT's software, videos, training materials, graphics, designs, text, course content, technology, trademarks, branding, and other proprietary materials are owned by STAT or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Purchasing STAT services provides a limited right to use the applicable services during the customer's authorized service period and does not transfer ownership of STAT's intellectual property.
08. Fees & Payment
Customers agree to pay the fees associated with the products and services they purchase. Pricing, billing frequency, setup fees, subscription periods, and other payment terms may be stated in an order form, invoice, proposal, agreement, or checkout process.
Failure to make required payments may result in suspension or termination of access to services.
09. Renewals & Cancellation
Subscription and renewal terms are governed by the applicable purchase agreement, invoice, order form, or other agreement between STAT and the customer.
Cancellation does not automatically entitle a customer to a refund. Refund eligibility is governed by STAT's applicable Refund Policy and any written agreement between STAT and the customer.
10. Availability & Changes
STAT works to provide reliable access to its services, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.
Access may occasionally be interrupted because of maintenance, upgrades, technical issues, third-party services, internet disruptions, security concerns, or circumstances beyond STAT's reasonable control.
11. Third-Party Services
STAT may use or integrate with third-party technology, hosting providers, payment processors, communication systems, or other services. STAT is not responsible for outages, changes, acts, or omissions of independent third-party providers beyond STAT's reasonable control.
12. Disclaimers
STAT's services are provided for business, educational, administrative, and compliance-support purposes. STAT does not provide legal advice, and information provided through STAT should not be considered a substitute for advice from legal counsel, licensing authorities, regulators, or other qualified professionals.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, STAT will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to use of the services.
STAT is not responsible for employment decisions, regulatory decisions, penalties, citations, survey outcomes, loss of data caused by a customer's actions, or a customer's failure to satisfy applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, customers agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless STAT Healthcare Academy, LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and representatives from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from the customer's misuse of the services, violation of these Terms, unlawful submission or use of information, or violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
15. Suspension & Termination
STAT may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, material violation of these Terms, fraudulent or unlawful activity, security threats, unauthorized use, or misuse of STAT intellectual property.
Customers are responsible for obtaining records they are required to maintain before their access ends, subject to their agreement and applicable law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
17. Changes to These Terms
STAT may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, business practices, technology, or legal requirements. The “Last Updated” date above indicates the most recent revision.
